In 2005, beatingthebook pioneered sports wagering podcasting. Podcasting daily through the football and baseball seasons of 2005, 2006, and 2007, btb brought its listeners amazing results with its free picks.
As listeners can attest, btb did so with an honest approach, not only providing the picks in advance for all to hear (making the fudging of our record impossible) but did so with a sensible and realistic approach to sports wagering. At btb, the only thing we asked of our listeners was that in the event one was thinking about opening an on-line wagering account, that it was done by clicking through our website. That way, we could justify the commitment of doing our daily 20-30 minute in-depth podcast on everything sports wagering, including why we were making the picks we were making, and equally as important, why we weren't making others.
After the internet gambling ban of 2006, like so many others in this field, the landscape no longer made it possible to do a meaningful podcast. But, with the advent of emerging technologies, we're proud to announce that we're giving it another go, beginning with the 2009 MLB regular season. As always, we will provide daily picks, but this time they will be provided on twitter for everyone following us. Once again, all we ask is that if you're in the market for a new sports wagering account that you do so by clicking through the beatingthebook website affiliate links. And, if our free picks are not enough for you, we'll also be providing premium picks which can be purchased, as well, through the home page on the btb site.
Our listeners meant a great deal to us, and we look forward to forging new profitable relationships now on twitter.

Beating The Book was the first-ever honest, daily take on sports gambling. "Antitout" Gill Alexander took an entertaining and in-depth look at sports wagering and provided your sports betting edge, helping listeners turn big profits in the 2005 NCAA Mens College Basketball Tournament and 2005 NBA playoffs, and reap huge paydays in the 2005-2006 NFL season, including a major windfall in Super Bowl XL. Plus, the 2005-2006 NBA regular season finished in major positive net unit territory. The 2006 MLB, NFL, College Football, and English Premier League seasons did the same. And the winning continued in 2007. Every pick was free and stated in advance, so records couldn't be fudged. Now, on Twitter, we cater to both serious and casual gamblers alike and include features such as a "Gambling Tip Of The Week". Don't miss out on what you need to know to increase your bankroll. Premium picks are available for purchase on the home page. And click through to easily open accounts at your book of choice.
